Tucked into a quiet residential street and backing on to farmland, this project in Ewingsdale, NSW was about celebrating the beauty of the site and shaping a garden that could grow with a family.
This project was a renovation of an existing house and pool, and an opportunity to design a garden that felt lived in.
The existing pool shell became a central feature, with the paved surrounds extended to create a more generous space for lounging and circulation. A new pool fence combines rendered masonry for privacy and wind protection, and glass panels to maintain a visual connection to the house.
The outdoor kitchen and arbour is a space for long lunch’s, filleting fresh caught fish, and a reprieve in long summers. A form that has been quickly enveloped in wisteria, creeping fig & jasmine – a nostalgic reminder of a childhood home.
